Solar for sites without power
Laydown areas, fuel bunds, borrow pits and yards frequently sit where there is no grid connection and no appetite for trenching one. A solar-powered standalone unit with local storage and an LTE link solves this without civils, and it can be relocated when the site moves.
What cameras are actually for
Two things, and it is worth being clear about which you are buying. Deterrence — visible cameras and lighting reduce opportunistic theft. And evidence — footage that identifies a person or a vehicle after the fact, which requires resolution, positioning and lighting that a deterrence-grade installation will not give you.
We will ask which you need before quoting, because specifying for one and expecting the other is the most common disappointment in this category.
Fuel and diesel theft
On sites with bulk diesel, cameras positioned over the bund and the dispensing point, paired with the fuel data from telematics, are the practical combination. Neither alone tells you much; together they tell you a great deal.
Straight answers
How long is footage kept?
It depends on camera count, resolution and recorder storage. We size storage to your required retention period and state it in the quote rather than leaving you to find out.
Can we watch the cameras from a phone?
Yes, over the site's internet connection or an LTE link. We set this up and train whoever needs access.
Do you monitor the cameras for us?
We install and support; we are not an armed response company. Where you want monitoring we will integrate with your existing security provider.
Need a machine on site this week?
Tell us the job, the town and the dates. We will come back with a rate — not a runaround.
