Consumables, not equipment
Detectors themselves are a capital purchase and most operations already own theirs. What runs out — and what quietly puts a site out of compliance when it does — is the consumable stream behind them: tubes, sensors nearing end of life, and calibration gas that has passed its own expiry date.
Shelf life is real
Detector tubes and calibration gas both carry expiry dates, and an expired calibration gas cylinder produces a calibration that will not survive an audit. We supply against your usage rate rather than pushing volume you will not get through, and we will tell you when a bulk order is a false economy.
Sensor replacement planning
Electrochemical sensors degrade on a predictable curve whether or not the instrument is used. Planning replacement against that curve is considerably cheaper than discovering a failed sensor during a bump test on the morning of a shift.
Straight answers
Do you service or calibrate detectors?
Portable detector servicing and bump testing is a planned addition. Currently we supply the consumables and coordinate servicing through the manufacturer.
Can you supply sensors for any brand of detector?
For the major brands used in South African mining, generally yes. Send us the instrument make, model and sensor part number and we will confirm availability and lead time before you commit.
How quickly can you deliver to a remote site?
Common lines are typically within days to both corridors. Specialist sensors are ordered against your requirement — give us the lead time your maintenance plan allows.
